We have received this communication from John Edwards, Warden for the North Midlands, concerning the arrangements for the forthcoming Court Meeting.
In order to make the event economical, it has been decided that the June Court will be held at John’s local village hall. It is not so grand a many of our venues, but does have the advantage of being in the middle of the country.
The venue is:
Church Eaton Village Institute
High Street
Church Eaton
Stafford
ST20 0AG
Telephone number of the hall 01785 823160
(note that few mobile phone networks operate here)
John’s telephone number is 01785 823067
The hall has been booked from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
The proposed programme is:-
11.00 Executive meeting
12.00 Wardens Meeting
13.00 Buffet Lunch
14.00 Court Meeting
16.00 Close of Court
One of the Agenda Items for discussion will be the Constitutional Review, prepared by President, Alan Fallows, and recently circulated to all member Guilds/Gilds. You can read the proposals here.
John’s wife will be preparing the lunchtime refreshments and at present we are catering for 25 delegates. We would like to know whether you will be coming and how many people to expect, so an e-mail or a phone call would be much appreciated.
As this has had to be arranged at the last minute, it has not been announced in the journal but has been circulated by The President to all notified Guild Representatives.
You may also contact Ant Piddock – now Deputy Master of Stafford Guild.
There are also full details to be found on the Stafford Guild Web site www.staffordfreemen.org.uk
