The Executive

President

Charlotte Yeates
I am a freeman of Berwick Upon Tweed, I was brought up with proud heritage of freemen from my grandfather and father. I live in the Cotswolds with two teenage children and two dogs. If you can’t locate me I’m probably in a field or wood walking the dogs. I joined the Executive in 2016 following raising the issue of succession planning

Lee Hensley
Freeman of Gloucester

Immediate Past President

Tom Gibson
Freeman of York

Hon Secretary

Lee Hensley
I joined the Executive Committee in 2018, taking on the role of Honorary Secretary.

I was born in 1977 in Gloucester where the Freedom has been held by the maternal side of the family since the early 1600’s. I was educated at St Peters High School before gaining an apprenticeship at Dowty Rotol in 1994, where through many changes and a short but exciting time with the Territorial Army, I still currently work.

I gained the Freedom of Gloucester in May 2012 and liking a challenge, quickly took one of the Freeman’s places on the Board of trustees of Gloucester Charities Trust. The trust looks after the almshouses, and two nursing homes in the city. During my time with the trust, I have held the position of Chair of welfare and have twice been Chairperson of the whole trust.

Having been voted President of the Chartered Freemen and Women of Gloucester in 2015, its committee and I have worked tirelessly to ensure the freedom remains strong in the city, as well as ensuring the bond between Freemen and the City Council remains strong.
